In our time, as environmental issues become increasingly relevant, companies involved in waste disposal play a crucial role in preserving the environment. Sklad Service approached us with the task of creating branding for its new waste disposal sub-brand.

Task

The company provided us with a set of key requirements that needed to be considered during the implementation of the project. One of the main requirements was the creation of a modern brand identity that would reflect cutting-edge technologies and innovations in the field of waste management. Additionally, it was necessary to create a memorable image that would be recognizable and evoke strong emotions in potential customers.

Problem

The streets of cities have always been places for meetings, communication, and leisure. However, in recent times, street areas have become places of waste accumulation, significantly impacting the environmental situation in the country.

Fortunately, there are people and companies that do not stand aside and take responsibility for cleaning streets and public spaces. One such responsible company is «West Hunt».

Preparatory stage

The client had the name «West Hunt», which we enhanced and visually represented in the branding for this project.

To achieve the desired result, we utilized all our knowledge and experience in the fields of marketing and branding. We conducted market research to identify the specific characteristics of the waste management industry and to define the company’s target audience. Based on the gathered data, we developed ideas that addressed the tasks set before us.

slogan

We created the slogan «Hunting for Trash», which perfectly captures the essence of the «West Hunt» brand. It’s a company dedicated to keeping the streets clean. Every day, the employees literally hunt for trash, followed by its proper disposal.

The brand's activities are important not only for creating a better urban environment but also for improving the ecological situation in the country. The collected waste not only enhances the appearance of the streets but also helps prevent environmental pollution.

Hunting for trash helps reduce the amount of waste on the streets, which in turn improves the environmental situation and contributes to making the Ukrainian nation healthier.

Visual image

When we began working on creating the image of a hunter, our team faced the challenge of finding a solution that would draw the audience's attention to the importance of preserving environmental sustainability.

Exploring various options, we decided that our mission should be represented through a predatory image. Although, for example, a dog could also be a hunter, this option did not give us the desired effect we aimed to achieve.

We brainstormed numerous variations and finally settled on the image of a shark. However, a shark is a predatory fish, and our task was to create the image of a waste hunter.

We continued our search and research until we finally found the perfect image of a green predator. The eco-shark we came up with became the ideal option for our mission, as it hunts both small and large waste, which is reflected in its forms in the graphic part of the logo. Our team went through a long journey in search of the perfect hunter image. We understand that it plays a key role in how the brand is perceived.

Our choice in favor of the green eco-shark was well-justified and represents the mission of fighting for ecology and preserving the environment.

Logo & Typography

We began by working on the typographic element, which needed to be modern, legible at any scale, and stand out with the freshness of its visual solutions. Then we moved on to the graphic part.

Logos featuring sharks have been created many times around the world, so we spent a lot of time searching for a unique solution.

We developed numerous logo options and ultimately settled on a mysterious and angular abstract form, which was shaped from the debris that a shark swallows during its hunt. Our client liked the idea, but they wanted a more recognizable depiction of the fish.

After analyzing the client's feedback, we made the necessary adjustments. As a result, by rounding the dorsal fin, the shape became more reminiscent of a shark while retaining its mysteriousness. We also made the tail fin more compact and accentuated to achieve the desired and unique form.

After presenting our solutions at the final meeting with the client, we approved the final version of the logo.

Color

We decided to give the shark a green color. This color symbolizes an environmentally friendly environment and care for nature. Additionally, green is associated with nature, health, and well-being. Thus, changing the shark’s color contributed to the correct perception and emotions, in combination with the slogan and the brand name.

As a result of these changes, the company gained a new, improved image, and the green color of the shark allowed for a more pronounced, vivid, and effective communication of the brand's eco-friendly nature.

Shark in Motion Identity

We have connected the brand’s identity with the idea of movement, activity, and hunting, symbolized by the shark.

When a shark is in motion, it means it’s working, acting, and hunting. We observed that during the hunt, the shark submerges its entire body, except for its fin. This fin becomes the foundation around which the brand identity of «West Hunt» is built.

The shark's fin is one of the most recognizable elements in the animal kingdom, helping the shark move through the water, providing balance and stability. Moreover, the fin also symbolizes confidence and strength, which are crucial aspects in business. After all, a successful business requires confidence and perseverance, qualities we also aimed to convey in our visual style.

Result

The core idea behind the brand identity of «West Hunt» was the use of a bright, striking, and memorable image of a green shark, symbolizing environmental cleanliness and preservation of the surrounding nature.

Implementing bold decisions, graphic elements, and color combinations that evoked vivid emotions and captured attention.

The process described in this case demonstrates that creating a unique image can take a significant amount of time and effort, but the final result is undoubtedly worth these efforts. We always consider the client's wishes, justifying every detail and decision to create a true masterpiece that we can be proud of.
